From the file you already have to the document you were going to write anyway.

Five things happen between uploading a template and downloading a finished agreement. This page walks through each of them, in order.

Step one

Reading your template

Upload the Word document you already use. Formixa picks up any {{ }} fields already in it, and turns [bracketed] placeholders into fields when you ask.

Turn every [bracketed] placeholder into a field in one step. Formixa suggests a name from the bracket’s own words and a type from what it says — dates, amounts, choices — and you can edit both before anything changes.

Its type guesses won’t always be right, and brackets that read like notes or defaults are skipped. Everything it finds is editable before you publish, and nothing is applied to your file until you say so.

Step two

The intake form

Every variable becomes a question. You choose how it’s asked — a date picker instead of a free-text box, a dropdown instead of a spelling risk — and group the questions into pages that make sense to whoever is answering them.

Step three

Conditions and repeats

This is the part that isn’t mail merge. Sections of the document can appear only when they should, repeat as many times as you allow, and carry instructions that are stripped before export. Change the two controls below and watch the document respond.

Governing jurisdiction
Number of shareholders

Article VII. Governing Law.

Show if state == "CA"This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in County Client, California.

Schedule A. Shareholders of Record.

Drafting note · removed on export

The purple, teal and pink regions are editing chrome. The exported document contains the clause text and nothing else.

Step four

The component library

Clauses, boilerplate and exhibits you reuse live in the Library, where you can browse them by type, search them by topic or text, and review them.

Clauses

Substantive provisions — indemnity, non-compete, governing law.

Boilerplate

The standard tail — notices, severability, entire agreement.

Exhibits

Attached schedules and annexes that travel with the agreement.

Every component carries a tier
CanonicalReviewedPrivate

In the Library, each clause shows whether it is Private, Reviewed or Canonical.

Step five

Export

Formixa edits your original file rather than generating a new one from scratch. That is the whole reason the output looks like your work instead of a form letter.

Removed on the way out

Drafting notes, condition markers, variable highlighting, and any section whose condition wasn’t met. None of it is in the document you export.

An ordinary .docx

No plugin, no viewer, no account needed by whoever you send it to.

Yours to keep

Each completed document downloads on its own, and each template’s original file can be downloaded from its details panel.

Around all of it

The workspace

Documents organised into your own categories, a library view of every component, and a dashboard that shows what went out recently.
